TYGlobe Good News | Cooperation Signing Ceremony Between Shanghai TYGlobe Law Firm and the School of Liberal Arts and Law of Jiaxing University Successfully Held

On September 21, 2023, Shanghai TYGlobe Law Firm and the School of Humanities and Law of Jiaxing University held a signing ceremony for the cooperation agreement. The ceremony was presided over by Tong Jianhua, Vice Dean of the School of Humanities and Law of Jiaxing University. Zhou Tao, Director and Managing Partner of Shanghai TYGlobe Law Firm, and Tong Jianhua, Vice Dean of the School of Humanities and Law of Jiaxing University, delivered speeches respectively as representatives of the two parties. Subsequently, the two representatives signed the cooperation agreement in the joint presence of all attendees from both sides. In the meantime, the School of Humanities and Law of Jiaxing University appointed three lawyers from our firm, Zhou Tao, Lyu Zhongyi and Sun Qihui, as part-time faculty members of the school and issued appointment letters to them. This cooperation will strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between the two parties in aspects including legal theory and practice, legal talent cultivation, and joint Party building between universities and enterprises. On the evening of the same day, the three lawyers Zhou Tao, Lyu Zhongyi and Sun Qihui delivered a lecture themed "Random Talk on Entertainment Law" at the classroom of Renxin Building of Jiaxing University. The lecture was presided over by Qu Zhenglin, Vice Dean of the School of Humanities and Law, with more than 90 students of the school in attendance. Starting with the challenges faced by overseas film and television companies entering the mainland market, Lawyer Zhou Tao gave a vivid introduction to the evolution process of China's entertainment law. Lawyer Lyu Zhongyi shared with the audience the content of "What is Entertainment Law" and the brief development history of entertainment law in the United States. From three perspectives of "performance brokerage contracts", Lawyer Sun Qihui helped the audience intuitively understand the connotation and denotation of such contracts as well as relevant key legal issues. This lecture lifted the veil of entertainment law for the students of the School of Humanities and Law, and came to a successful conclusion in warm applause.
