The 5th Yangtze River Delta International Cultural Industries Expo will be grandly opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from November 22 to 25, 2024.

The 5th Cultural Industries Fair aims to showcase new consumption formats and industry models featuring the integrated development of culture, tourism and commerce, and promote the upgrading and development of the modern cultural market and commercial sectors. It is jointly sponsored by the Publicity Department of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, the Publicity Department of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, the Publicity Department of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, the Publicity Department of the CPC Anhui Provincial Committee, and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai Sub-council. The event is undertaken by the Shanghai Stage Designers Association and the China Research Center for Cultural Tourism Performing Arts Creation and Education of Shanghai Theatre Academy, with Shanghai TYGlobe Law Firm participating as a co-undertaker.

As a platform for agglomeration of cultural industry resources, this session of the Yangtze River Delta Performing Arts Innovation Forum will conform to the development trends of science and technology and industry of the times, and continue to deepen, substantiate and follow up on this orientation. The theme for 2024 is set as *Artificial Intelligence and Performing Arts*. From November 22 to 24, 2024, the *Yangtze River Delta Performing Arts Innovation Forum (2024) – Special Session on Artificial Intelligence and Performing Arts*, *Special Session on Digital Performing Arts Technology* and *New Media Roundtable Forum* will be held at the National Exhibition Center. Guests to be invited include representatives from professional art institutions of higher learning, relevant enterprises in Beijing, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, Tianjin, Macao, Shandong, Shanghai and other regions, as well as US enterprises based in Shanghai, to present their practices and explorations in innovative artificial intelligence application projects in the art field and platform construction. The forum comprises such sections as keynote speeches, exploration and experience sharing, special session on urban-business linkage, and platform launch ceremony.

The "Special Session on Digital Performing Arts Technology" brings together the wisdom and experience of AI education and design institutions as well as young stage art designers, and is committed to exploring the latest trends and technological innovations in stage design. Designers share their insights into work creation, and conduct exchanges and discussions to promote the development of stage art.

The "New Media Roundtable Forum" will gather high-quality new media content entrepreneurs specializing in content creation and knowledge sharing. Held in the form of a roundtable forum, the event will carry out joint discussions on new development trends of the new media industry, so as to promote the development of Internet new media in the direction of high-end content supply, knowledge sharing orientation, high-quality output delivery and standardized form specification.

The forum is held concurrently with the exhibition. The performing arts equipment section of the Digital Technology Performing Arts Exhibition Area is joined by China's most cutting-edge performing arts equipment manufacturers and agents, who bring their newly developed high-tech performing arts equipment and solutions. Performing arts equipment is becoming increasingly intelligent and automated, which has injected new vitality into the development of China's cultural industry.
