On November 27, the major criminal investigation drama *I Am a Criminal Police Officer* was launched in the prime time slot of CCTV-8 and exclusively broadcast across the whole network on iQiyi. With Xu Meng as the screenwriter, Hui Kaidong as the director, and leading cast members including Yu Hewei, Fu Dalong and Ding Yongdai, the drama presents a vivid group portrait of criminal police officers and unfolds the chapter of endeavors in grassroots criminal investigation work. *I Am a Criminal Police* mainly tells the story of Qin Chuan (portrayed by Yu Hewei), a grassroots people's police officer. After his mentor and close friends died heroic deaths one after another, Qin Chuan further strengthened his professional conviction as a criminal police officer. Cao Zhongshu (portrayed by Bai Fan), a criminal technology expert specially invited by the Provincial Public Security Department, was impressed by Qin Chuan's talent and dedication. Wu Yingde (portrayed by Ding Yongdai), the chief criminal investigation expert, took Qin Chuan as his apprentice after strict assessment. Over the long span of 35 years, Qin Chuan participated in the investigation and solving of a number of major cases, key cases and long-pending complicated cases, and gradually grew into an outstanding representative of the front-line criminal investigation force. This is a heroic story of three generations of criminal police officers (the older, middle-aged and younger generations) making continuous efforts in the process of solving these long-pending complicated cases and vicious major cases, and jointly building a modern and professional criminal investigation team.
